How To Use Natural Lipstick

Using natural lipstick is a fool-proof way to achieve kissable lips that the environment will love you for.

Natural lipstick is exactly what it says on the packaging – a luxurious lipstick that won’t harm your skin or the environment, what’s not to love? They come in both matte and glossy formulas and there’s a variety of shades to choose from, so there’s something for everyone.

As lipstick is applied directly to the skin and often unintentionally consumed, we should be careful with what chemicals and artificial products are inside them. Plastic-free lipsticks often use more organic and botanical ingredients rather than synthetic chemicals, which are much gentler on the lips.

The Beauty Made Easy natural lipsticks in particular use jojoba oil, almond oil and shea butter to nourish the lips without using any chemical nasties. They’re also free from silicones and petroleum, unlike many conventional lipsticks, as these are made up of tiny microplastics that pollute our water systems and skin: a major no-no if you ask us.

To wear one of these plastic-free lipsticks, start by applying it to your lips like you would with a conventional lipstick. Once the crayon is blunt and you need to reveal more product, pull the attached string down about half a centimetre and unravel the paper until you reveal the next section of lipstick. Voila – it’s as easy as that!

At the end of your natural lipstick’s lifespan, both the cardboard outer packaging and the strips of unravelled paper can be recycled, making it incredibly environmentally friendly.
