I remember Charlie first talking to me about reducing her plastic waste and with one conversation she really opened my eyes. Straight after we talked and went away and google plastic free shops in the UK and I couldn't believe how little there was out there. 

That's when Life Before Plastik was born. We've had the 'our favourites' section on our website since the beginning and it continues to grow and grow as our little business expands. So many of the plastic free alternatives changed my life. So many I used on a daily basis. Things from paper tape (that is used for every parcel we ship) to refillable mascara or even just a bar of soap. Think how many plastic bottles you save from going into the recycling system just by switching to a soap bar. Also a soap bar is actually good for your skin as it doesn't include any toxic chemicals or 'funky' additives to create crazy colours. We just stock the natural stuff. 

My number 1 favourite swap are the mouthwash tablets. It actually blows my mind how many plastic bottles of mouthwash I have gone through when all you need is a little tablet that dissolves in water. I actually don't know how this isn't considered the 'normal' mouthwash to use. How did we ever get into buying plastic bottles of mouthwash?! Check it out, Spearmint is my favourite.
