Guppyfriend Laundry Bag

The Guppyfriend Washing Bag is German engineered bag to stop micro waste from ending up in the sea. Laundry can be added to the bag to catch microplastics from entering the water.

The bag measures 50×74 cm and is made of 100% Polyamide. The bag itself doesn't shed any microfibres, it's untreated, not dyed and does not contain any additives.

This bag is basically a preventative to stop further microfibres from entering into our oceans. So many of our clothes are made of nylon, polyester and acrylic. These are made from synthesised chemicals, which enter the sea via our water system. 

HOW DOES IT WORK? 

Separate your colours as normal, pop your washing inside the bag and then the bag into your washing machine. It's important to not overfill the bags as the clothes still need space to move around.

The bag will collect all the tiny microfibres that have come off your clothes.

Remove your clothes from the bag to dry and then dispose of the microfibres properly. The idea is that they don't end up in the sea, being swallowed by fish, that eventually make their way into the human food chain.
